How it works
The Avertum Street Tech-Air® airbag system incorporates 6 integrated sensors (3 accelerometers (1 triaxial) and 3 gyroscopes (1 triaxial)) aimed at providing the best collision monitoring performance in a variety of dynamic driving situations, as well as when stationary. The collision detection algorithm has been developed and refined with millions of kilometers of driving data and thousands of accidents, allowing the system to accurately assess when to deploy the airbag before an impact or another dangerous situation, such as a low or high side collision. If a likely accident is detected, the system inflates the protective airbag in just 50 milliseconds.

Fully autonomous
The Avertum Street Tech-Air® is a fully autonomous active airbag system that does not require external connections or sensors on the motorcycle to function. And when not in use, its packable design allows it to be easily stored in a backpack or under the motorcycle seat.

Whether it's sunny or raining, the Avertum Street Tech-Air® is ready for any situation. Equipped with a water-resistant main chassis and waterproof control unit and electronic components, the slim and autonomous Avertum Street Tech-Air® system can be worn over protective clothing. It can also be worn under any leather or fabric jacket, provided there is enough room to accommodate the airbag inflation: the choice is yours. The Avertum Street Tech-Air® airbag system will allow riders to enjoy their daily commutes even more, knowing they are well protected.

Certified protection
According to European regulations, the CE mark is a compliance requirement for the marketing of this item. The following standards apply: when inflated, the Avertum Street Tech-Air® airbag protects the entire chest and back and is CE Category II certified according to the European Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Regulation (EU) 2016/425 CEE, in compliance with the relevant part of the airbag certification standard EN 1621-4:2013 which guarantees impact protection performance of no less than five seconds after activation. The impact attenuation performance is level 2 for both the chest and back. Impact protection garment EN 17092-6:2020 Class C (outer garment) with the outershell made of water-resistant material.
