I did a lot of research in finding a new pair of boots that offered more protection than the "road only" boots I've always ridden (I've had Alpinestars, and most recently BMW Allrounds that were excellent) because I'm doing some more ADV type riding now. I was unfamiliar with Forma as I live in the states and they don't seem to be that widely available, but quickly discovered that the brand has been around a while and is well respected. I found a couple video reviews which gave them high praise. Design, features, and build quality appeared to be top notch and what I was looking for: decent protection, good comfort, appearance, and build quality without being totally off-road intense. I took a risk and ordered them over the TCX Infinity and the Sidi Adventure and I'm really glad I did. The moment I put them on I knew it. Super comfortable right away. I felt like I could probably do a short hike in them if I felt like it plus ride them all day without a problem - most comfortable (and light as well) boots I've ever tried. I don't have personal experience with waterproof ness yet, but I suspect given one of the videos I watched that it won't be a problem. Build quality is first rate and when you spend all day, day after day, in a pair of boots that and comfort are at the top of the list. I took a chance and I'm very pleased. I have ridden with these boots twice now.. I ride dual sports with lots of off-road trails and rocky sections. Boots are light and break in immediately. They don't offer the protection of my motocross boots (Sidi Crossfires, A-star Tech 8 and 3's) but they are not motocross boots. Great for dual sport riding and doing some hiking on the trails. The sole is great for getting traction when you need it. Shipping was fast! I am a size 10 (US) with wide feet. I wear 10-10.5 us 2E/4E size shoes. My calves are 19.5". I have a lot of problems finding good fitting shoes and was skeptical that these boots would fit. They do! There were some initial hot spots in the heel area but after wearing them for a while, the leather softened up. They are comparable to a lightweight hiking boot as far as walking comfort once broken in. Ankle support is non-existent. I would prefer more protection but it's a fair trade off vs comfort. I bought these boots last December. I ordered them on a Saturday evening and they arrived at my house in Idaho, USA the following Wednesday!!! I have worn them for approximately six months now and couldn't be happier. They are the most comfortable boot I have ever had for walking around in. They kept my feet warm in below freezing temps and don't get to hot in temps in the lower 90's. I have worn them through numerous water crossing in which the water came up to mid shin and in a very heavy downpour with out any water getting in. I've had these boots for 1 year now and they are still holding up. I originally bought them because I wanted a boot with a thicker sole because I am inseam challenged. I ended up wearing these more often than all of my boots not because of the inseam boost, but because they were super comfortable. I even wore them to work one time and forget to wear my work boots and I was on my feet for 9 hours. Forma Adventure Boots are awesome! They are lightweight, but still have plenty of protection for any adventure rides. They are also great when you are just walking around. No more Stormtrooper feeling of my Mx boots. Clips and Velcro top are good quality. Need to wear a long sock, can get some hot spots on your shin area. Sole feels like my Timberland hiking boots. In regular shoes I wear a 9.5EEE, or a 10.5 if wide sizes aren't available. I normally go one size up in offroad boots since I always wear heavy socks. I measured 270mm by the size chart on Forma's website, and I added 30mm instead of the recommended 10-15mm to get more width. Size 45 is a bit high over the arch, but fits great with gel insoles to take up some of that room. Toes actually fit just *slightly* roomy, but more importantly the width is perfect. I was looking for a boot to wear when riding my Suzuki DR350 dual sport. They had to offer protection, be waterproof and most of all, be comfortable while riding and walking. I had found that the more MX style of boot were too stiff for my tastes and made shifting difficult for me and were not comfortable for walking. I am happy to say that these Forma Adventure boots are exactly what I was searching for. The toe box is a bit larger than some, so I adjusted my shift lever one notch and all is well. I have been riding both on and off road for 50 years and wore many brands and style of boots and these are without a doubt my favorite. Great boots. High quality. Really all day comfort. The opening is wide enough to accomodate pants and knee armor if you so choose. The guys over at atomic moto tested it for 60 minutes in a tub of water, and the paper inside never got even damp. A great boot for anything you can throw at it, at any price range. My only gripes are the branding, the big forma logo is a bit obnoxious but not nearly as bad as 99% of Alpine Stars or Icon. And in a perfect world, it wouldn't have plastic straps. These boots were recommended to me when I picked up an F800GSA a couple of years ago. I was (and still, somewhat am) new to off-road riding and these looked like they would do the job of providing good protection. Fortunately, I haven't had to test them too much, but I can say that they're comfortable on long rides (I've had 12 hour days in them), seem very well made, and look like they'll last a long time. I love these boots. I wear size 13 USA and 46 EU fit just right. They need little break in time, comfortable on the bike the first ride, comfortable walking after a week or so. They are large in the calf or I have skinny legs,probably a bit of both, but this was not a problem. I have wide feet and took the advice of others and ordered one size up from my normal 12 US (13US/47EU). There's a little room at the toe and the width is perfect! I do have a little trouble, as my calves are a bit large, but the boots still fit. It took about a day of walking/riding to break the boots in, but at no point were they uncomfortable during that time. Rain, no problem. Mud/water, no problem (just don't go crazy!). Now, the hottest of days - your feet will sweat, but not that bad actually. Order one size up and you'll have a little room for heavier socks for any long rides in colder weather. I ride a 2015 BMW G650GS and I wear US street shoe size 12W. Ordered Size 47 and they fit perfectly. These boots provide great protection in all of the critical areas and have the added benefit of serving as comfortable hiking boots if the need should arise. Problems arise when shifting the foot shifter lever on this bike with these boots.. The toe box is high. Best solved with an adjustable extendable foot shifter lever to replace the poorly designed BMW OEM shifter and wider enduro foot pegs to replace the thin BMW foot sticks. I have both the tall and short versions of this boot. Fit is great when I wear thin socks, which is all I need even in the winter. With my wider foot, it's hard to find a boot that fits well. The short version did take more break in time for me but now they are super comfy. I have ridden in torrential down pours several times with no ingress. The Forma Adventure Boots accompanied me on 25k km throught South Amerika and did a good job. My feet and ankle were well protected and I could fit knee guards into the shaft as well. Why I don't give them 5 stars is that for some reason I get really smelly feet in them, sometimes my toes are wet from my own sweat and that has never been a problem in my old boots. Maybe insufficiant membran, don't know. And the other thing is that with time the leather gives in. Unfortunately I am already on the tightest buckle setting, which causes now my knee guards to slight down a little. Other than that they do what they are made for very well. Can recommend them. Most of those have been on pavement from commuting and getting to/from the trail, but it also includes a good bit of off pavement dual sport riding. So after looking long and hard for a boot that would accommodate my wide-ish foot with needing to size up, I have found it. Comfy out of the box. Easy to walk in. I use the talls when going on longer road trips and for light offroad/gravel riding. They have been waterproof in every rain storm and water crossing. Minus the time I put a foot down in the creek and water flowed over the top. Ha! I am in the size 12 range and the 46 fit fine with normal socks. They are warm, so no need for thicker socks. The Forma Adventures were my first motorcycle boot, and they served that role fantastically. After doing the math these boots easily have over 350 days of riding on them, i mean all day riding, and they have held up reasonably well for a budget boot. Sure, I've had to glue the soles back on twice. Sure, they weren't ever completely waterproof. Sure, the protection leaves something to be desired. But these things pale in comparison to the value. I'm switching to something more protection oriented for my next boot, but thats because of my riding style shifting to more offroad orientation, not a knock on the Adventures. Very little break in time needed for these comfortable boots. Others have commented the same. They are comfortable enough to wear hiking which makes them a great ADV boot when your activities involve more than just riding the bike. Forma Adenvture low's are comfortable enough for all day off the bike wear when you decide to ride the bike to work. Not to mention just a good looking boot that are not flashy and gaudy. Just returned from a 4000+ mile tour of Europe, experiencing weather conditions ranging from 27° sun to 2° snow & these boots performed flawlessly! Having previously worn sports boots I initially found them a little clunky when changing gear but this quickly dissipated after getting used to them. They are also extremely comfortable for walking around off the bike. They have only leaked once & that was in sustained torrent conditions so no complaints, & an application of carnauba wax has prevented any further leakage. I held back from buying these for three years. then I said now or never Since then I’ve completed about 4200km using these, they wear like a high top hiking boot. After a 932km run they felt slightly heavy at the end of that journey. Comfortable well made, fabricated in Europe not “China” I’m just tired of getting burned by the quality control less culture of the Chinese manufacturing process. I guess you get what you pay for saying that, it reminds me for what you get is a whole lot of quality in a reasonable price. Stay safe keep the rubber in the road…. look twice then look again.
