Alpinestars Toucan Gore-tex® Boots

I did my research and finally settled on these boots for adventure touring with some single track mixed in. Vert happy with the choice. Outstanding quality and workmanship. Nice wide comfortable toe box. Excellent ankle support. Good tread design for traction. A very well made product. First time buying with Motorstorm. Being from the U.S.A., I was a little uncertain about how long shipping would take from Europe, but I got the boots only 5 days later after placing the order! Even with shipping expenses, I saved a couple hundred off of what most U.S. retailers charge for these boots.

Really waterproof and comfortable boots with great protection! Took me a lot of time to decide on these boots and feel very happy with this decision. Might be more pricey comparing to other competitors but is worth the price difference. Can always rely on alpine stars products!

I really did my research before choosing the AS Toucan. It's truly 5 Stars. Incredible Italian craftsmanship and attention to detail. The boot does not require break in and runs absolutely true to size. I'm a 9.5US and went with the 9US. DO NOT SIZE UP! Motostorm's pricing and delivery was great. As a US buyer, I was a bit apprehensive. No worries. 5 day delivery and shipped well protected.

Have used for hare scrambles on a 450 xc-w and day-long rides on a Versys. Good comfort. Good balance of protection and flexibility. Water proof until its coming over the top. Takes a long time to dry. New buckles are easier to operate, stay closed better too.

I love these boots! Great fit, hinged ankle is awesome. I've walked in these quite a bit and was comfortable as well. I don't see myself ever using different boots, I think these are the best in the high end adventure boot category. Would definitely recommend!

These boots are comfortable right out of the box. The gore-tex lining is great, my feet never feel wet, and they're definitely waterproof. Highly recommended after 3500 miles in them! Could not be happier!

pretty comfy boots for what they are. a compromise between full motocross boots and street boots. all my other boots are sidi street and race boots with much thinner and more flexible soles. takes a bit of familiarization. in sidi's i wear a size 49 euro. in alpinestars, i wear size 48. alpinestars fit a bit wider than sidi's. con: the boots noticeably squeak while walking. overall construction appears excellent. i prefer this style to sidi adventure boots -though, i'd lose the large alpinestars logo in the front/top of boots. gore-tex waterproof always works great, is pricy and breathes better than probably anything else on the market. until something better appears, this is probably the best adventure boot on the market. get'em. recommended. update: i've put more than 1000 miles on the boots and i love'em. i fixed the squeaking by applying lube to the joints. i've gotten used the lack of feel compared my thinner soled sidi boots. these are my got to boots. i've walked in snow, mud, ice and water. they keep my feet dry and warm. more importantly, i crashed numerous times including lowsiding on pavement in which i landed on the buckles and slid on the asphalt, the metal buckles worked perfectly despite the gouges. once i did sheer of a couple of buckles. alpinestars sent me replacement buckles without question. the goodyear welt stitching offered additional protection because to accommodate the stitching, the sole sticks out from the body of the boots. i.e., i landed on the

My first dual-sport boots moving up from road racing and touring boots. The stiffness and lesser movement took some time to get used to, but now I liked it. The boot is pretty comfortable to wear and take off. As a bonus, I can pull my AGV Sport pants over the top of the boots. Lesser visible to people that I am wearing huge boots when I go to a cafe.

They are complete waterproof which is really nice. They have saved me from at least one broken ankle. They have the strength but also feel very limber when you need them. I am buying another pair for my brother.

These boots are great for riding. the quality is spot on and they feel like they are very protective. However they are not the most comfortable with walking around off the bike. They squeak a lot. Happy with the boots though.

I have been a Sidi consumer forever but I have to say that I was blown away by the comfort and fit of the Toucans. They were comfy on my feet right out of the box and I must say that the quality of the materials and the constructions is second to none. I have put about 10,000 miles on them with no issues to report. I have used them on the dual sport rides and they have taken the abuse. They have also taken the rain very well and always kept my feet dry. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a premium boot for their rides.

These are the best boots I have ever owned. I'm coming from gaerne gx1 and the gaerne adventure boots. I use these on my Adventure bike for offroading or the street. Very comfortable to use but above all very protective.

Best adventure boot on the market. Gore-Tex is well known for what it does. Full waterproof and that is a must. But the boots fit really comfortable and take can take a lot of beating. Been using the for over two years now, multiple adventures, and I also wore them on my dirt bike a couple times. I love mine.

After 15+ years of (ab)use, my Combat Touring Boots were needing a replacement after trying different styles from various manufacturers, I finally bit the bullet and picked up a pair of Toucans. My only complaint is why did I wait so long! Comfortable on and off the bike, truly waterproof (unlike so many boots that claim to be), and while they don't feel like armor, hey offer great protection. They're everything I need in an adventure boot, even if it did make me wince a little when I paid for them. But in the long run, buy once, cry once.

This boot is only half a step down from a full motocross boot. It offers great protection, but that comes at a cost in weight and stiffness. It's 100% waterproof, but doesn't breath very well and gets hot. You can walk in them, but I pack my hiking boot if walking any distances more than a few 100 yards. You'll never be able to sneak up on anyone either, they squeak pretty bad. If your riding a large bike off road, this is the boot to get. If your going to take your GS to Starbucks, save some money and go ahead and get something a little more comfortable.

Great boots. Very waterproof. Take a few rides to loosen up. A bit pricey compared to motocross boots but you paying for the goretex. They are much better than most adventure boots.

I've been using these through all sorts of wet and muddy terrain on my 1090R and they have held up very well. They are a little too stiff to use on my BMW S1000XR as it's difficult to maneuver around the shifter, but these are terrific for an ADV-ergo bike.

They are more comfortable than what I had expected, are a pleasure to walk in, warm (for cold Northern Pacific rides), quality materials and construction. They are more bulky than my previous Alpinestars boots so they will require some getting used to with shifting and rear wheel braking. Might need to adjust the position of break and shift levers. All in all, very satisfied.

This boots are very comfortable for touring here in India where the temperature go above 40degs celcius in summers. Have used it all day long during summers and they are really comfortable and gives a feeling of safety. Comfort wise - 4. 5/5 Safety - 5/5 Ergonomics - 4/5 I ride a Ducati Multistrada 1200S and one needs to get used to the feel while applying rear brakes.

Fit is excellent and exactly as advertised. Quality of the boot is excellent. They offer significant protection, sort of a motor cross boot, while enabling walking. First time ordering from motostorm. it and the experience has been great. Delivery only took a few days and the price was great. So far all the boxes are checked with A+. Great overall boot for mild enduro and ADV riding. Extremely comfortable right out of the box. Quality of the boot is excellent. The only thing I wish is there was an upper buckle to accompany the velcro on top as it's a touch loose but for most riding it's sufficient.

I purchased these boots for a trip from the US to Chile. After about 1 year of wearing these boots daily they were due for new soles (which was expected) and both big toes punched small holes in the interior liner no longer making them waterproof. If you are between sizes like I was go up a size so you don't have a similiar problem. These boots had a good mix of both protection and comfort. I would buy them again, but am going to try out the corozal for the lower price point.

Love the Alpinestar brand but these are my first pair of boots. I have only had these boots for a couple months but I ride almost every day and they have been a great purchase. The fit, comfort and style are perfect. Gortex water proof and not too hot in the summer heat. The second time I ever wore them out of the box, my riding buddy crashed his bike and broke his ankle (no riding boots!) and I had to walk 3 miles on a mountain trail to shuttle his bike out of the forest. Boots felt amazing and didn't hurt my feet at all even on the long hike in brand new boots! Great boots and my favorite purchase in a long time. Would recommend and purchase again myself.

Alpinstars Tucan motorcycle boot is an excellent choice for a touring boot. I have owned and used a pair for more than 3 years, more than 100,000 kilometers. They are durable, comfortable and keep your feet warm and dry. The metal buckles are easy to use and do a good job of keeping mud out and your foot secure. They are rugged enough to offer good protection and comfortable enough to walk in when off the bike.

I've been wearing these boots over 5 years now. They fit very good and have a lot of protection for an adventure style boot. They have just now started to come apart after years of abuse. I only wish they had a hinged ankle as the plastic tends to rub my leg after all day riding.

Size 13 US. I have a wide foot with high arch and this boot fit like a glove. Room in the toe box but nice and snug in the heel. Not too loose, not too tight. Impressive amount of protection throughout the entire boot. I would feel comfortable doing some light dirt and gravel but equally comfy riding these all day long on the road. I haven't had a chance to get them wet but they do look pretty robust in the waterproof department. It's a pricey boot but I think you get what you pay for, and this is one of the best fitting boots out of the box that I have ever worn. Almost no break in needed. easy to use latches. My only gripe is I wish they had other color/style options, and wish they were a tad bit less expensive.

They are great boots, foot feels secure in them. Have tested them in pouring rain and they hold up well. Run just a weeee bit loose but a thicker sock or insoles solves it for me. The buckles are well made and protection is amazing.

Rough, tough, yet modestly comfy to walk. I had some random instances of water getting in, but not that critical. Note that the straps are replacable if you happen to loose or brake one. Highly recommend for off road adv

Bought these boots for a 10 day trip in Europe, in and around the Alps in Austria and Italy. I was a bit worried that they might be too warm considering the Gore-Tex membrane. But luckily, I was pleasantly surprised, to experience them as comfortable in higher temperatures (above 25 degress Celsius). We also experienced heavy rainfall and the boots stayed absolutely dry inside! used these boots for almost 2 years and they still feel and look new. Good quality. I have now Overall a very comfortable and safe boot to travel in. I highly recommend!

Protective, comfortable, not too stiff, easy in and out, look great. What more could you want? Wider than the equivalent Sidis. Your feet/ankles damage easily in a crash, so I don’t ride without proper motorcycle boots and these are one of the best choices for road riding.
