Originally tried to find these here in my size but was unable, and eventually found them at my local gear shop after giving up trying to find them online. These boots impressed me so much I needed to review them somewhere. Break these in before you ride. Do some mountain climbers, walk a mile in wet grass or the rain, stretch and flex the heck out of them, retighten, and do it again. These things are stiff out of the box, but quickly break in with effort. Once broken in, the problems you read about ability to shift or brake virtually disappear. They're still a hybrid motocross boot, and not a dedicated hiker. You're not doing a 20mi hike in these, but I've walked several miles in these without issue. You really need to be reasonable and manage expectations with these. They're a great all around boot. Waterproofing works well in driving rain or prolonged walking in wet grass. They do not breath, these are wet/cool weather boots. I can't see wearing these above 75-80F. The shin guards do stop just before the height they'd protect you from the pegs, but I was unable to fit Teck 7s under a regular pair of bootcut jeans like I can the Belize. These aren't a hardcore dedicated set of trail boots, but they offer more protection to your foot and ankle than any other boot you can wear normally to a bar or restuarant after riding logging and forestry roads. I was considering the Toucans, tried on the Tech 7s and Belize, and these were the easy choice for wet seasons and ample trails in the Pacific Northwest while giving me something I won't be hating if I need to walk a little.
