Kappa Kgr52 Aluminium

This is the same as the GIVI TRK52n for $75 dollars less. My side Kappa K-venture cases open without interference. If the bag was any wider they would not. The only negative is the key cly is short so I cant key it to my side bags

I was looking for a top case for my BMW R1150RT. One of the requirements was that it had to hold two modular helmets. None of the cases available from BMW for my bike can do that. In addition, the prices on all the cases from BMW caused me to look at alternatives. The Kappa KGR cases, made by Givi, look good and the 52 liter models will hold the helmets. It uses the strong and easy to use Monokey mounting system from Givi. One problem I had expected was that I would have to use a universal mounting kit not made for my bike. I was very surprised and pleased to see a mounting kit available that was made specifically for my R1150RT. It is easy to install and fits perfectly.

I was originally going to purchase a Givi top box until I found these Kappa products. They are Givi quality at a cheaper price. I am very pleased with my purchase. Holds plenty of gear and mounted right up to my Givi luggage rack plate.

Brought this for 2013 suzuki V-strom 650 on SW-Motech steel Top plate. Fits perfect with Givi hardware. Needed for regular commute and storage. I would recommend this if you need a lockable storage for your trip.

I bought this case to upgrade from a cheap plastic one. It is very sturdy with a lot of space (2 full face helmets fit). Fits very well to my 2013 Vstrom 650 with the Givi aluminium top plate. Very good value for money and a fair bit cheaper than the Givi version.

Top plate is easily paintable. Like all givi cases i wish it could be left unlocked. Fits perfectly on the SRA5102 rack.

I have several Kappa Cases and they are all very similar to Givi as Kappa is the sister company. They all use same Monokey locking system as Givi. But the price for Kappa products is much more affordable.

I have used Kappa luggage for many years on various bikes and the Kappa range has always been fantastic quality and performance. The KGR52 is ideal for my storage solutions. I don't need to store two helmets, instead I need to store one helmet and my bike jacket. Having that extra space really provides flexibility for me when touring on my motorcycle. Highly recommended!

This thing is huge. Easily fits 2 full front helmets, which is great to make sure everything is locked up nice and tight. Easily comes on and off the bike. Weather-proofing is excellent with rubber seals around the edge. Good quality and price.

Have seen it initially at a friend and was happy with the looks, space and sturdiness, all the time being identical to the Givi version. Will come back with a review once I use it for a longer time. . .

Bought this is a commuting case for my laptop and gear. Big enough to have a helmet, jacket and pants with gloves in it, and seems very durable. The box is big though, and does change the balance of the bike when in cross winds. It's a BMW GS so very steady on the road generally, I imagine a lighter bike would have more trouble. The locking mechanism seems very sturdy and I like being able to remove it with the same key. The box structure seems like it would stand up to some bumps and scratches too, but the aluminum plate on top would scratch pretty easily. Happy with the purchase, but might need something smaller and some panniers for adventure riding.

Great top box for BMW F800gs, I wanted something that fits a helmet and jacket and at 52L it's about perfect ???????? the size on the bike does not look too large and it's comfy for the pillion. I like the locking system but it might get to a bit gunned up given the position of the lock, time will tell.

Got the Kappa box to use during long 2-up trips on an R1150R. Fits with my Monokey plate, smooth latching/release. Lots of room for camping gear. Kept the rain out during wet days. I think the boxy shape provides better usable volume than the curvy top boxes, looks better too.

Nice box with great capacity for my 2005 BMW r1200gs. It looks better than the square shaped box. Also comes with the alum trim to mach the panniers i have originally on the bike. Site communication is very good

I purchased this to replace a 10 years old Givi Maxia. Even though I lost about 4 liters of storage, the more squarish shape, as opposed to the Maxia roundish one, has less "dead" space than the Maxia. I have not tried two helmets side by side, but I think that one modular full face and one regular should fit. The back hinges are appear as robust as the Maxia, but the side hinges are simpler, just a wire. They keep the lid at a better angle though. I lost track how many times the lid of the Maxia hit me in the head. None so far with the Kappa Gr52. Looks nice, and more "purposeful" . Satisfied customer. And one week shipping from Italy to the US is Great!
