Product information

  • EN1621-2 Level 2 Back protector
SEESOFT™ CE-level 2 non-temperature sensitive back protector - type KN

The CE Level 2 approved SEESOFT™ back protector insert is designed to absorb impacts of varying intensity without compromising comfort, ventilation or freedom of movement. The nitrile and polynorbornene rubber blend is highly impact resistant and forms a memory sponge that is multi-impact rated and CE certified at the highest level (EN1621-2:2014 – level 2). In the event of a severe angular impact, the individual layers of memory foam will slide together, causing the forces of the impact to be dispersed over a larger area and therefore minimizing the energy that is transmitted to the spine and back. Applying a multiple level concept, REV'IT! has developed a flexible back protector insert that has consistent performance in all conditions. Taigle 105 : XS-S / L34-L36-L38 Taigle 106 : M-XZL/M46-M62/L40-L48.

Highly recommended! Lightweight, breathable, and flexible, while offering superior protection. It is surprising that a back pad this light, thin, and flexible could offers so much protection at a reasonable price. This is the first and most important piece of protection you should consider when riding.

Slim fit with more protection than the Dainese insert
5/5

I have a Dainese jacket and I wanted to get a back protector. After trying Dainese's back protector, I found this one. It is more affordable than the Dainese insert. It's also more comfortable because it's flexible and breathable. I also like that it's foam so it'll be easier to clean than a textile one. It also offers the highest level of CE protection!

Never even notice it's there.
5/5

I added this back insert to a Revit Roamer jacket 2 years ago, and now I never even notice it's there unless I sit inside of a car. Probably a good reason to stay on the bike. :-). I have done 300-mile and 500-mile days including multi-mile hiking and I can't even feel the back protector in there. Just do yourself a favor. This adds so much safety that there's not even a real a question of whether you should add it to your gear.

Great protection while cool and lightweight
5/5

Bought this back protector to supplement my Rev'It! GT-R Air jacket. It's lightweight but feels substantial. Fits perfectly into the back pocket and isn't uncomfortable in either an upright or sport riding position. Great job, Rev'It!

Excellent back protector
5/5

I bought this to add to my rev'it jacket. It is thin, and flexible. It also breathes very well which is nice in hot summer days. I recommend this back protector to anyone who is looking for more protection in their jacket.

Warm, but comfortable and seems effective

I would recommend an airbag over this. But, they're in different price ranges. This is wayyy better than nothing. It is a nice support against my back too. There is no way I would consider riding without at least CE-2 protection on my back. This provides it

Great Protection

This is what I've heard: I'm adding this to a second Revit Defender GTX jacket. The first one was cut off by the EMT's just prior to my helicopter ride. I'm currently recovering from a hard hit to the back of my shoulder that the standard foam panel did not attenuate. This appears to offer much more protection while still flowing air and staying light weight. I don't want to try the same hit again but I'll be a little more prepared if it does happen again.
