Excellent ventilation

Airbag equipped with AIRFLOW CHANNEL technology: a unique and advanced ventilation system that guarantees maximum cooling of the body, with a flow of air guided in and out through 3D Mesh channels present throughout the entire back and chest area of the lining, inside the airbag.
Technology developed in the race, directly with the IXON MotoGP riders: Aleix Espargaro, Brad Binder, Miguel Oliveira and Takaaki Nakagami.
The choice of external materials also promotes ventilation: Hard Mesh on the front and back, ultra-stretch Mesh on the sides. In this way, the IX-AIRBAG U04 is 100% ventilated.

Comfort and versatility

The choice of ultra-light materials for both the interior and exterior allows the IX-AIRBAG U04 to be the lightest electronic airbag on the market.
The design has been studied down to the smallest details so as not to hinder movement and offer perfect driving sensations.
The cut is close to the body: it avoids the feeling of bulk, allowing the airbag to be forgotten.

3 fall detection modes integrated into the In&box electronic unit designed by In&motion: the airbag is suitable for use on the road, in competition and in adventure.
Switching from one mode to another is done with a simple click via the My In&box mobile application.
The IX-AIRBAG U04 integrates the only airbag technology that offers 3 distinct detection modes: In&motion has developed 3 specific algorithms for each of these practices.
Approval by various national federations in Europe and by the FIM: the IX-AIRBAG U04 can be used in competition on circuits, in national and international championships, with the exception of MotoGP and JuniorG.

In the event of a fall, the airbag becomes operational and effective in just approximately 0.055 seconds, well before the initial impact: 0.033 seconds for detection time and 0.022 seconds for inflation time.
Inertial unit composed of 6 sensors (3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes) that measure the pilot's movements in real time: over 1,000 analyzes per second.
Inflatable pillow that covers 4 protection zones to safeguard the vital areas of the upper body: neck, back, chest, abdomen.
New generation inflatable cushion in OPW material: up to 5 inflations before factory check, 2 more than the IX-AIRBAG U03.
Deflation: Operation of the inflatable cushion optimized to improve protection in the event of a fall and secondary accidents, as well as to manage post-fall situations.
Driving autonomy: 30 hours.
Charging time of the In&Box electronic unit: 2 hours.
Certification: CE certified garment according to EN 17092-6:2020 C U, airbag tested according to AMC-013 protocol.
Back protection in expanded foam, 15% lighter than the back protection of the IX-AIRBAG U03. CE certified protection according to EN 1621-2:2014, type FB (full back protection) and level 1.
