Givi Tn1121 Honda Cb 500 X (13)

I have installed these on my 2014 CB500X. They add a nice look to the bike. They have a durable finish as I dropped a side piece on my concrete floor while I was installing and they didn't scratch. I haven't dropped the bike or hit anything with them, but I have a set on my DL1000 and they prevented any damage to my body panel as well as the engine when I had a tip over. It took me about 1 hour to install them. Givi recommends a mechanic install them but most people will be able to do it themselves. I installed one side (with the bolts loose) and then the other. Final fitment was the under the headlight. This is the hardest part but not that difficult. Finally, I tighten everything.

For added protection on my bike and looks great too. There are so many different brands out there, hard to choose from. I chose these because of the mounting positions. I felt it was better than others at a much cheaper price.

I installed a bike called 400x and in Japan CB 500x is bored down to 400cc and sold. It is the same except that the car height is lowered by changing the displacement and suspension. It took a while to install and it took an hour by two people. Several engine guards are on sale but I think that it looks the most beautiful. I do not know about protection capacity because it has not fallen yet. Also, this engine guard can coexist with the Engine under guard e of Sw - Motech.

I have these on 2016 Honda cb500x. The fit and finish is good. I have not had any vibrations some people on advrider have complained about. I gave 4 stars because the install is a bit tough without a second person. It does work with the sw motech skid plate.

These are a great set of crash bars. There are fairly easy to install, the hardest part is the from portion that connects right around the triple tree, but that is what makes this set very sturdy! They also make a great place to hang highway pegs off of.
