The GP4-RX radial caliper kit is a top-tier solution from the High Performance line designed for sporty street and track use.
Construction: The body is entirely CNC machined from solid aluminum alloy. It consists of two mechanically connected pieces, optimized through calculation software to eliminate excess material and maximize the mass/stiffness ratio.
Finish: It features a distinctive surface nickel plating. This treatment, directly derived from MotoGP, not only offers an attractive look but also allows for refined machining tolerances, improving precision and performance.
Hydraulics: Equipped with 4 aluminum pistons with a diameter of 32 mm. The absence of pad pins (the pads slide on guides directly machined into the caliper body) reduces friction and improves modulation.
Mounting Specifications:
- Center distance: 108 mm (compatible with most Japanese supersport bikes).
- Offset: 22.5 mm.
- Brake band: Suitable for discs with a height of 32-34 mm.
It works correctly with both stock discs and Racing models like Brembo SuperSport or T-Drive.
Important Notes:
- Not compatible with ABS systems (in most applications).
It is recommended to pair with a radial master cylinder (e.g., Brembo 19RCS) to fully exploit its power.
For some bikes with original 310mm discs (such as CBR 600/1000 RR or CB 1000 R), it is necessary to switch to 320mm discs with specific adapters.
The Brembo GP4-RX calipers (code 220B01010) have a center distance of 108 mm, making them the ideal standard for the vast majority of Japanese supersport and naked bikes.
Important Considerations before Purchase:
ABS Compatibility: Brembo advises against installing them on bikes equipped with ABS systems (or suggests deactivating it), as the different internal volume of the caliper may not interact correctly with the ABS control unit.
Discs: They are compatible with stock discs but perform best with high brake band discs (32-34 mm) like Brembo T-Drive or SuperSport.
Brake Master Cylinder: To avoid a too 'long' lever, it is highly recommended to pair them with a radial master cylinder with a 19 mm piston (such as the Brembo 19RCS Corsa Corta).
