Givi Tn2122

Put these bars on the bike which was a simple procedure, all the bolt holes lined up nicely and fitting with simple tools. Looks great on the bike and they don't interfere with any of the bikes parts or make it any less maneuverable as the bars dont protrude much from the bike, probably a good place to perhaps fix some additional lights down the track. Good protection for the bike.

I was unfortunate enough to get to test these on my Tracer. While parked, a truck backed into my left saddle bag, tipping the bike to the right side. Besides scratches to the crash bars and the saddle bad, a very small catch on the right handlebar, a touch to the Givi windscreen, and the feeler foot peg broke off. Only cosmetic damage. Can't tell at speed but stationary, certainly worth it. I don't give it 5 stars because I don't know how well it may work at speed.

I installed this last week on a 2015 MT09 Tracer Glad I'd read the reviews below and started on the left hand side! Large bolt was really difficult to get out, and you should also make sure to finger tighten the 2 hex bolts first as it is a very slow process doing a quarter turn at a time with a spanner. Also had to get a 17mm spanner and 8mm? allen key (not mentioned in instructions) Extremely happy with the final result, now just need to find some light mounts to install some (non GIvi) spot and flood lights.

Very happy with the bars. After reading reviews I prepared myself for difficult installation but it turned out to be very straightforward and quick if you have some basic idea how to use tools. I jacked up the rear wheel with the paddock stand to get some height however you should be good with using the center stand. Start with the left hand side. They look great, feel very solid but hope to never use them!

Installation was slightly difficult on one side and you must exercise extra care to make sure all bolts line up and thread correctly. If they don't don't go in correctly, just try again..it will line up perfectly but it requires a precise alignment. The second side went on much more easily. Overall, the bars look great and very sturdy. Should provide some excellent protection should anything happen.

A couple of months ago i a watched mate drop his near new bike as his misses attempted to disembark, only to have a lace hook a peg & pull the bike down with her in an unceremonious heap. This event prompted me to purchase the protector. I have not had to rely on it, + hope i never do. However should it happen i hopethismay help...it looks fine too

Purchased these and installed on 2015 Tracer 900 and glad I did. Came to stop on an awkward up hill slope and went to put my left foot down and the road surface dropped away dramatically. . . . and over I went. . . pillion and all. . . but, the Givi bars did the job and the bike was fully protected. Have a great set of LED lights mounted to the, for extra visibility by traffic. Installation was a slightly difficult process, the centre stand bolt was extremely difficult to remove - used a long thin screwdriver and mallet to belt it through. Then when reinserting with the bar on the thread stripped and I had to buy a Yamaha replacement part. Not coming off ever again now. Would still definitely purchase and install again.
