LighTech has developed an innovative concept of impact absorption, focusing on quality of materials and many years of testing with the most important team in World Superbike, Supersport and Superstock. The base of protection is lightweight magnesium, the best material to absorb impacts: also the upper bushing assembly is magnesium, able to cushion the impact during a fall without transferring the load on the frame. The inner ring is of a special polymer able to absorb the vibrations stronger. Finally, the external buffer, the one which first comes into contact with the asphalt, has the task to resist abrasion and be light: therefore is made of a special nylon mixed glass.
