If your looking for a top rack to fit any of your monokey boxes, this is the one. I ummed and ahhhhed about getting it as givi state that the Trekker outback top boxes fit to any bike without a rack.. The 2016 dl1000 comes with a rack but for the extra £70 it's worth the money. The outback 58l box fits nicely and stays even when loaded to the "cough cough" 10kg limit on the box. The racks says 6kg max but the box is 10kg so use your judgement. What can you say, it's a mounting plate... It does what it has to. I've got a Givi Maxia box mounted on my 2014 Suzuki 1000 Vstrom and the plate does what it has to. No binding etc when releasing the box. I'm guessing any strength concerns with this would be more related to the strength of the tail of the bike... not the plate.(Posted on 31/03/2017)Overall

It's a simple, plastic rear rack, but for what it is it is quite durable. I use it for my TRK52 case, and it has never let me down. I would prefer that it be metal for some extra peace of mind, but again, I can't really complain.(Posted on 31/07/2019)Overall

Givi top case well built, have one on my 700 BMW over 25000 miles and holding up well! Use it on a 13,500 mile trip to Alaska and back and rode many ruff roads and case and mount held up very well! Fit with no issues. You can run the electrical connections to your top box with this plate. I added the remote open and the brake lights to my V47. Plate fit with no issues. All works and functions well.(Posted on 22/09/2020)Overall
