Speed, Style, Safety, DESIGN: The new SE5 Carbon motorcycle helmet from Troy Lee Designs continues to raise industry standards in helmet technology. Tested and developed by the world's top motocross athletes, the new MX SE5 Carbon helmets feature a lightweight and durable carbon fiber shell, a new ventilation system that ensures maximum comfort for the rider thanks to the side vents on the chin guard, and the Collarbone Mitigation System, an innovative EPP (expanded polypropylene) collarbone protection system integrated into the lower part of the helmet that protects the collarbone and upper shoulder and dissipates impact force.

MIPS® INTEGRA
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a patented technology to protect the skull from impacts in the event of a fall, thereby reducing the risks associated with potential concussions. It is a slip-plane system designed to rotate inside the helmet to reduce and slow the amount of rotational energy transferred to the head. INTEGRA is the latest evolution of MIPS: it is the world's lightest and thinnest rotational management system (RMS) from MIPS. Perfectly integrated into the inner shell, this system ensures maximum comfort and minimal friction once the helmet is worn. The characteristic yellow low-friction layer (Low-Friction Layer, LFL) is co-molded inside the helmet above the dual-density EPS foam, which protects against low-speed impacts.

OPTIMIZED FIT AND BREATHABILITY
The SE5 motocross helmet integrates pre-formed Dri-Lex® cheek pads, a fabric designed to ensure maximum breathability, and an inner lining in antimicrobial X-Static® fibers. The cheek pads are quick-release to facilitate the intervention of First Aid personnel in case of an accident or fall. The Double-D system also ensures an adjustable and secure helmet closure, thanks to the two durable titanium rings.

In the event of a fall, Troy Lee Designs has devised a system of pre-scored screws to allow the visor to detach from the helmet body instead of breaking, thus preventing the rider from being injured during impact.
