SHELL
The shell is made of TRICOMPOSITE fiber, a new composite that allows for a lighter yet harder and more protective shell. The new composite is a blend of carbon with different weight/break loads linked to aramid resins that ensure a lighter but much more impact-resistant shell. To satisfy even the most demanding customers, KX-1 RACE GP is produced in three different shells: S, M, and XL.

INNER SHELL
The inner polystyrene shell is made in four sizes (S, M, L, and XL) for better ergonomics and has variable density. This feature allows for gradual and progressive absorption of the energy produced by the impact. Although most of the energy created by the impact is absorbed by the outer shell through its deformation, the role of polystyrene is crucial for absorbing residual energy. Different polystyrene densities optimize the mechanical performance of the shell, ensuring maximum absorption level in all helmet areas.

VISOR
The injection-molded polycarbonate visor is scratch-resistant and has variable thickness, easy to remove thanks to a tool-free system. The visor mechanism is entirely made of a particular metal alloy that gives greater solidity to the assembly. The visor is also equipped with a 'Racing Lock System' locking mechanism, also in metal alloy. The mechanism reduces the possibility of detachment in case of an accident. KX-1 RACE GP is prepared for tear-off lenses.

PINLOCK
KX-1 RACE GP is equipped with PINLOCK® MAX VISION 120, the most performing anti-fog system on the market.

VENTILATION
During the hottest grand prix, maximum concentration and endurance are required from the rider. Relying on efficient ventilation is crucial to achieve maximum performance in total safety. KX-1 RACE GP is equipped with seven air intakes that work in combination with an integrated channel system, ensuring excellent airflow inside the helmet. The extraction of hot air is an aerodynamic pride of KX-1 RACE GP: two submerged air extractors, working together with the rear spoiler, create a Venturi effect by sucking the hot air.

INTERIORS
The cheek pads and cap can be removed, washed, and replaced. They are made of fine fabric with specific fibers that offer the following features:
1. Allow rapid dissipation of body heat
2. Keep the skin cool and dry
3. Feature a particular hygienic treatment
The cheek pads are easily removable in case of emergency thanks to the quick-release system. KX-1 RACE GP is prepared for the camel-bag system.

RETENTION SYSTEM
The strap is equipped with a retention system with a double D-ring in stainless steel.
