I was using an old Biltwell Gringo and after months of using that helmet and seeing it's shortcomings, I decided to get something nicer. I tried on just about every major brand of helmet to see which one fit me best and wouldn't you know it: the most expensive brand is the most comfortable haha. I mean, there are more expenive helmets but Arai is definitely on the pricier side. I bought the Quantic through Motostorm because it was almost $200 cheaper than buying from an American company. The helmet is very comfortable. It's a little on the heavier side, my neck muscles had to adjust. The fit for my Large, medium-oval head is just about perfect. It's a little tight on my ears, but when I wear a balaclava, it slips right on and over them. The visor function is not that hard to get the hang of as some have complained. The vents are very nice and give a good amount of air. The looks, especially on the Red Swirl are soooo good. Definitely a beautifui helmet, even more so in person. The silver part is a fine glittery pattern which you can't really see in the photos. If I could I would take half a star away because I've have some issues with the pinlock letting moisture in an fogging a little during heavy rain. But I'm not sure if that's Arai's fault or Pinlock or just my unit. The helmet is very quiet until reaching 70+ then you might still want to use plugs for long trips at higher speeds. I feel very protected in this helmet and it just feels premium.
