Designed for top-level performance both on track and on the road, the lightweight S-R7 helmet combines cutting-edge carbon composite construction with Alpinestars' patented technologies. Its advanced aerodynamics, optimized airflow, and precisely engineered EPS lining ensure superior protection and all-day riding comfort.

Main Features

- Multi-composite outer shell: approved according to ECE 22.06 and DOT standards, it uses advanced construction with pre-preg epoxy resin to offer maximum strength and high performance. The carbon, aramid fiber, and fiberglass layers ensure lightness and advanced protection, with excellent energy dissipation, radial resistance, and penetration resistance.
- PLASMA inserts for the collarbone: the aerodynamic and streamlined design integrates recesses for the collarbone on both sides, equipped with two PLASMA inserts designed to offer high-performance shock absorption and reduce the risk of injury during a slide.
- Optimized field of view: designed to offer exceptional visibility, the S-R7 ensures 220° of peripheral vision and 57° of vertical vision, enhanced by an optimized visual opening and head position.
- Multi-density EPS lining: the inner shell features a multi-density EPS liner with seven elements in six densities, strategically positioned for optimal impact absorption. The EPS liner is designed with a unique size specific to each helmet size, in combination with the three different sizes of the outer shell.
- Patented low-friction coating: the EPS surface is flush and integrates Alpinestars' patented coating, developed to offer proven protection against rotational impacts. This low-friction sliding plane is designed to mimic the brain's natural cerebrospinal fluid, the body's intrinsic defense against oblique impacts. By reducing the brain's rotational acceleration within the skull during an impact, this technology helps decrease the risk of concussion and other brain injuries. The S-R7 exceeds the ECE 22.06 standard on peak rotational acceleration by 80%.

Protection

- The visor is ECE 22.06 approved, Optical Class 1, with anti-scratch treatment on both sides; thickness varies from 1.6 mm on the sides to 2.6 mm at the center and is equipped with pins for attaching a Pinlock® 120XLT 100% Max Vision lens.
- The visor can be quickly replaced or removed via a secure and tool-free quick-release system that allows correct rotation, ensuring a complete seal against the helmet's rubber gasket.
- The unique and patented A-Head adjustment system by Alpinestars allows precise adjustment of the helmet's height and angle on the head, promoting the correct alignment of the protective structure through a micro-adjustable pad connected to the inner EPS lining.
- The cheek pads integrate an Emergency Release System (ERS) to allow safer helmet removal in emergency situations.
- The package includes a clear visor and a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ anti-fog lens to support optimal visibility while riding.
- The S-R7 helmet in size M weighs 1,390 grams / 3.06 pounds, offering an extremely high performance-protection-weight ratio.

Construction

The S-R7 helmet offers ultra-low aerodynamic resistance and exceptional high-speed stability, reducing neck fatigue. Its aerodynamically optimized shell features an integrated spoiler developed to minimize turbulence and resistance, while side fins further enhance stability and reduce resistance.

VENTILATION
The S-R7 is optimized for airflow with a total of 10 ventilation intakes: 6 air intakes (3 in the chin guard and 3 on the top of the head) regulated by a sliding Upper Air Intake mechanism, plus 4 exhaust vents (2 side vents on the chin bar and 2 at the back of the helmet). Air entering from the Chin Air Intakes is channeled to the inner side of the Visor, effectively preventing fogging and condensation. The entire Upper Air Intake section is sliding, allowing three air channels to open for maximum flow and cooling capacity. The chin bar exhaust vents are designed to efficiently extract moist air from inside the helmet.
