The open-knit structure around the nose and mouth allows for easy breathing during intense activities or when it's warm. The same open structure is found around the ears, allowing sound to travel more easily compared to thicker fabric. The visor panel is also knitted, and the ribs are folded with a flatlock stitch on the soft inner side, making them more comfortable on the skin.
