If it is cooler, this is definitely something you would like to have. I like the fitting and the fact that you can pull it over the lower part of your face/cover your mouth with it, because it has breathing holes with makes it still warm, but easy to breath. The only thing I can think of, is that it does hold sweat easily and let it not easily go, so when you got sweaty (I tried it on a cold day during racing also), it gets wet and stays wet, making your neck actually more cold than without wearing it. But maybe it is not meant for sweating ;) great buy I would say.
