I wore these in the hot summer (>90F) with my Sidi Adv Gore-tex boots. They did fine as far as staying tight and dry. However, any contact with a rough surface (such as the "male" velcro side of my boots) and the threads will come apart.

I got these for summer rides. They seem to breathe better as advertised, but they aren't as durable as some other socks which the other review mentioned. I've only used them a handful of times and they are still fine but in general I say spending the ~$30 toward better boots that are more ventilated would be a better use of money.
