Summer riding does not always call for a full touring jacket. The DANE Skjold gives you another option. Wear it on its own when temperatures rise, or underneath another motorcycle jacket when you need an additional layer of protection. Large breathable mesh panels keep air moving, making it especially comfortable on warm days.

Flexible Comfort
Elastic polyamide fabric gives the Skjold a close, flexible fit without restricting movement. A 3D MESH ZONE in the lining adds another level of comfort and airflow. The result is a protective layer that feels light and natural while riding, whether you are covering city streets or heading out for a full day of touring. For optimal comfort on your skin, we advise wearing a long-sleeved base layer shirt with moisture-wicking capabilities underneath. Make sure it is not made of cotton, as that will absorb moisture and hamper your comfort instead.

Protection First
Safety comes from Level 2 R.I.S.C. protection at the shoulders and elbows, with height-adjustable elbow protectors for a more precise position. A Level 2 R.I.S.C. back protector is included, while an optional R.I.S.C. chest protector can add further coverage. Reflective panels on the front, back and sides improve visibility, and the jacket is AA certified.

Everyday Practicality
Two front pockets, an underarm pocket, a waterproof inner pocket and a mesh inner pocket keep essential items close. The YKK VISLON® front zip with Revived Top Stop provides a secure closure. A jeans attachment loop and short connection zip make the Skjold easy to integrate with other riding gear. Recycled polyester mesh lining adds a more considered finish.
