I purchased these after a ton of research for my next pair of gloves. It was between Five and RST and I decided to try the Five based on the overall protection it offered and the sizing options. My hand circumference is 8" so I ordered a Small - and it was a very tight fit - to get my hand into the glove. Of course with use it started breaking in, and I am certain with more use it will become easier. Right out of the box I do like the look and feel of the glove. The whole thing is quite well put together, nice to the touch, looks great, and is comfortable to use. The ventilation is quite good as well. Nice to ride with it in the Spring/Summer temperatures here in the US. On a separate note - I ordered it from Motostorm as these gloves are not available in stock with any major retailer in the US. Even with the extra shipping cost and import duties and what not, it was still cheaper to order it from Motostorm vs waiting and purchasing it from a US retailer once it came back in stock. Overall, quite happy with the gloves and with Motostorm!

Very well crafted gloves, Provided the most protection possible in a shorter style glove. Made from high quality materials and leather. great protection on knuckles and has a palm slider. Highly Recommend!

I have had many gloves in my 25+ year riding career. About 18 years ago, I started exclusively buying Alpinestars gloves, and I have had many models: GP Tech v1, GP Pro v2 and v3, S1, and many more. Recently the A* gloves quality has started declining rapidly. I have had their expensive gloves fall apart in less than than 5 rides. Seams broke, flaps tore, velcro stopped velcroing. I started reading reviews, figuring I will need to find new gloves manufacturer. Five SF1 had glowing reviews from mcgearhub, but there is no dealer nearby and I could not try them on. On paper, they sounded great, but it was a gamble to potentially lose160€. My wife, who patiently puts up with my nerdy market research habits, and one point in time asked me which size I would need (M) and simply bought this exact pair (red/black EVO M) for me. We had a break-in into our garage a month ago and most of my wife’s and my equipment was stolen, the five gloves included. This why I am writing in past tense here, and, honestly, why I am even on the site - I will buy another pair when it becomes available :). When the gloves arrived, I was blown away. No break-in period was required, they immediately fit like a glove. The leather was soft, but not flimsy. The airflow was brilliant, if anything it was a bit too much in summer mornings, but I am happy for this compromise - I was never uncomfortably hot in the gloves even during scorching summer rides. They also left no color behind on my hands during heat cycles. The tactility suits me very well - they are a bit less tactile than A* GP Tech, about on the level with GP PRO v3. For me the GP Tech is too much and the feedback gets uncomfortable after three or four hours in the saddle. The SF1 EVO hit the goldilocks spot for me. I honestly have no substantial criticism of the SF1 EVO. The only thing that bothers me is that they are CE 1 KP, and not CE 2 KP as the previous model was. But that is just a mind thing - they felt great and protect
