New closure system includes aluminum buckles plus aluminum frame with innovative self-aligning, quick release closures for customized secure fitment. All buckles are replaceable. Breathable mesh 3D liner with anti-sliding microfiber suede reinforcement on the heel area. Soft poly-foam surrounds the ankles and collar offers comfort and shock absorbing performance. Removable anatomic footbed. Exclusive high grip rubber double density compound outer sole. Sole and footpeg insert on sole are replaceable. The Alpinestars Tech 5 are CE certified.

The Alpinestar Tech 5 are the most comfortable MX boots I've ever owned. I had the opportunity to try on huge numbers of boots and came to these as the best balance between comfort and protection. I couldn't hike in these boots but i am comfortable wearing them between rides and walking short distances. They are holding up nicely, I wear a 10.5 D and bought my regular size and the fit is fine. I mainly use these for trail riding, and they are amazing. Break in period was minimal, if any, and the protection top notch. Took a bit getting used to shifting as they are on the bulkier side, but a non-issue now. (Posted on 22/04/2018)Overall
