First of all if you're interested in riding shoes, you're basically paying for the brand premium here. This specific pair from Astars were nothing but a disappointment. This is something you really gotta go in and try on to understand how well these will protect you in a crash. This is no better than a pair of thicker combat boots or working boots you'd buy for 1/2 the price. There definitely are riding shoes out there that are worth the money to look urban yet provide decent protection, for a whopping price, but this one aint it. Provides minimum protection and you're really buying a pair of thicker sneakers with just the Astars brand on it. Basically non-existent heel protection, non existent toe protection and shoe flexes like a rubber.
