The UNIT garage R12 G/S Dakar Kit: A Return to the Origins.
The new R12 G/S Dakar kit is a tribute to the legendary Paris-Dakar Rally. The history of Unit garage is deeply tied to this race, in which the founder Fabio Marcaccini participated for 5 editions in the '80s.
When BMW launched the R12 G/S, we immediately thought of reinterpreting the classic Dakar style in a modern key.
This motorcycle is the perfect canvas to reconstruct an icon, aligning with our philosophy of combining tradition and innovation. We are grateful to BMW for creating a motorcycle that allows us to continue a journey started over 40 years ago.
Simple and Reversible Assembly, each component of the kit is Plug & Play.
You can transform your R12 G/S into an R12 G/S Dakar in a few hours, thanks to the manual and video tutorials included.
No modifications to the original components (OEM) are needed, and the entire process is completely reversible.
The new R12 G/S marks a return to the roots of the G/S line, and our Dakar kit brings back the spirit of the rallies with today's comfort and performance.

Technical description and info:

Enlarged Nylon tank, with a capacity of about 25 Liters (10 more than the original) which will allow you a range of over 450 Km... more than enough to go around the world!
The R12 G/S Dakar tank weighs 1.7 kg less than the original, comes painted, complete with graphics under transparent and ready for assembly or unpainted if you want to customize it.
The tank cap, fuel pump, and active carbon filter (canister) remain the originals of your motorcycle.
The reserve light will still work, you won't have to tamper with anything, the kit is completely reversible.
All the supports for fixing the new tank are provided in the kit.
It is compatible with most tube crash bars.
Designed to maintain an optimal ergonomic profile.
Perfect for all routes, both for African competitions and for tourist use.

- The version (Option 719 Aragonite) is supplied without graphics, graphics are available separately
- The BMW crash bars code 77141755649 are not compatible with our tank code 5018, we recommend our crash bars code 4305 or code 4330
- The supports for mounting additional lights code BMW 77517914903 are not compatible with our tank code 5018, we recommend our light supports code U078
- The BMW logos in the photo are not included, you will receive in the kit a die-cut 3M adhesive to reuse those from the original tank, if you do not want to remove them from the original tank they are available at official BMW dealerships code 51147721223 or on our site code U164.
