The BMC FM01126 sport air filter is a high-performance, regenerable cotton component designed to optimize intake in widely used urban scooter engines.
Performance and technical features
The component ensures significantly optimized air flow management and sustainable maintenance over time:
• Increased air flow: the wide-mesh cotton gauze allows for an approximately 18.5% increase in air passage compared to traditional paper filters installed as standard.
• Filtration efficiency: thanks to the combination of layers of cotton soaked in low-viscosity oil, it blocks impurities and microscopic dust down to a minimum of 7 microns, with a certified efficiency of 97.5% according to international ISO 5011 standards.
• Optimized combustion: the reduction in pressure loss in the air flow improves delivery fluidity and engine response readiness at low and medium revs.
• 'Full Moulding' technology: the frame is made from a single mold without welded joints. This prevents the risk of cracking or breaking due to vibrations.
• Resistance to chemical agents: the filtering fabric is protected by aluminum meshes treated with epoxy resin, which isolate the structure from air humidity and the corrosive action of gasoline vapors.
• Immediate installation: it fits directly into the original airbox (replacing the OEM element) without requiring mechanical calibrations or electronic control unit updates.
