The BMC FM01096 sport air filter is a regenerable cotton filter element designed to directly replace the factory filter, fitting perfectly into the original airbox to optimize intake.
Performance and Technical Data
• Increased Airflow: The special multi-layer cotton weave ensures an increase in airflow of up to 40% compared to traditional paper filter elements installed as standard. This significantly reduces flow pressure losses, promoting a constant supply of oxygen that improves engine combustion efficiency and enhances throttle response.
• Filtration Efficiency of 7 Microns: The support guarantees a high microscopic blocking power (with an efficiency of 97.5% according to international ISO 5011 tests), retaining impurities and foreign bodies in the air down to 7 microns. It offers superior protection compared to standard filters that usually stop at 10 microns.
• Structural Dimensions: Single width of 124 mm for a maximum length of 144 mm.
• Full Moulding Engineering: The characteristic red rubber frame is produced through continuous molding in a single block. This eliminates glued joints along the corners, removing structural weak points and preventing risks of cracking caused by strong vibrations off-road or thermal shocks.
• Advanced Protective Barrier: The four layers of natural cotton are impregnated with a special low-viscosity fluid oil and enclosed between two light alloy meshes. The meshes undergo an epoxy coating that isolates the component from moisture corrosion and contact with gasoline vapors returning from the intake.
• Plug & Play Installation: The filter is distributed pre-oiled and ready for installation. It works perfectly autonomously and does not require modifications to the airbox or remapping of the motorcycle's electronic control unit.
