The BMC FM01093 sport air filter is a regenerable cotton panel filter designed to directly replace the factory filter, fitting perfectly into the original airbox to optimize intake.
Performance and Technical Data
• Air Flow Increase: The special multi-layer cotton weave ensures an 18.5% higher air passage compared to traditional paper filters installed as standard. This greater oxygen intake improves combustion, optimizes engine performance, and makes throttle response more immediate.
• 7 Micron Filtration Efficiency: Utilizing a combination of four layers of oiled cotton, the filter blocks and retains microscopic impurities down to a minimum of 7 microns. The protection meets the strict international ISO 5011 filtration standards, surpassing the efficiency of standard filters which usually stop at 10 microns.
• Structural Dimensions: External width of 164 mm for a maximum length of 229 mm.
• Full Moulding Engineering: The characteristic red rubber frame is molded through a single continuous mold without glued joints at the corners. This technology eliminates structural weak points and prevents the risk of breakage induced by vibrations.
• Advanced Protective Shielding: The natural cotton gauze is soaked in a special low-viscosity fluid oil, enclosed between two light alloy aluminum meshes. The meshes undergo an epoxy coating that insulates the component from corrosion caused by air moisture and gasoline vapors returning from the intake.
• Plug & Play Installation: The filter is provided pre-oiled and ready for installation in the original housing. Given its standard fluid dynamic properties, it works perfectly autonomously without requiring ECU remapping or modifications to the factory carburetion parameters.
