The BMC FM01161 sport air filter is the ultimate performance upgrade developed to optimize intake and protect the engine of your adventure motorcycle. Designed to directly replace the original equipment filter element ("Plug & Play"), it fits perfectly into the stock airbox without requiring structural adaptations, carburetion changes, or ECU remapping.
Thanks to the technologies developed by BMC in the most prestigious international competitions, the filter boasts a flexible monoblock structure (made with the patented Full Moulding system) that eliminates the risk of breakage or weak welds. The filtering core is composed of four layers of multi-layer natural cotton, soaked in special low-viscosity oils and protected by an aluminum alloy mesh treated with epoxy resins against oxidation and fuel vapors.
This premium design ensures an 18.5% increase in airflow compared to traditional paper filters, enhancing throttle response, fuel efficiency, and power delivery linearity. At the same time, it guarantees excellent retention capacity by trapping micro-impurities down to just 7 microns (ISO 5011 standard certification), a value significantly superior to the average 10 microns of OEM series filters.
Being 100% regenerable and washable, the BMC FM01161 filter eliminates the need for subsequent replacements: just perform periodic maintenance with the dedicated washing kit to maintain maximum performance throughout the vehicle's useful life.
