The BMC FM01100RACE sports air filter is a cotton panel filter specifically designed for track use and for riders seeking maximum fluid dynamic performance from their engine's intake.
Performance and Technical Data
• Exaggerated Airflow (Race Specific): The "Race" configuration is engineered to provide an even higher airflow compared to standard street sports filters, minimizing pressure drop losses to the absolute minimum. It is expressly recommended for track use or on bikes with additional mechanical and electronic modifications (such as full exhausts or additional modules).
• Stoichiometric Ratio and ECU: Due to the significant and sudden volume of air introduced into the airbox, the installation of this specific version may require calibration or remapping of the electronic control unit to best optimize the air-fuel mixture ratio.
• 7 Micron Filtration Efficiency: The multi-layer fabric ensures microscopic blocking power by retaining air impurities up to 7 microns in accordance with international ISO 5011 standards, preserving the engine's integrity from foreign bodies.
