The SH36 side cases with carbon-like coating are the perfect combination for the eXpandible top case type SH58X, SH48 or SH39, which have a version with carbon-like coating as standard. The security provided by the handle lock system allows for a double lock; On one side, it secures the top case to the motorcycle and, on the other, it closes the trunk itself. It has a handle so that once removed, transporting the suitcase is easy and simple.
Like all SHAD motorcycle cases, it can be opened and closed with one hand, without using the key to open it. We will only use it when we want to lock it on the bike.
As an essential accessory there is the possibility of incorporating internal bags (X0IB36), which fit perfectly into the side cases. They feature an external zippered pocket for direct glove accessibility and are reinforced with internal foam to protect contents from any press-fit zippers with handles for use with gloves. Includes a strap and a handle for easy transportation, so the inner bag makes it easy to transport items without having to remove the suitcase.
If the carbon fiber hood supplied as standard doesn't convince you, you have the possibility to customize it between the different cover colors: white, new titanium, dark gray and black metal, or the virgin option that you can customize to your liking.
Together with these new and advanced suitcases we have developed a new fixing kit that is unique on the market: the ""3P SYSTEM"". Patented by SHAD and characterized by its integrated and lightweight design, it was developed giving priority not only to aesthetics, but taking safety into account.
Integrated design: The fixing is much more integrated into the motorcycle. The typical rectangular frame disappears and is reduced to a single horizontal “L” arm on which the three fixing points (3P) of the suitcase rest, hiding the hardware once the suitcases have been removed.
Position: both the volumes of the suitcase and the inclination of the 3P fixing system have been designed to move the weight of the set as much as possible towards the center of gravity of the motorcycle. This gives you more safety and stability when driving under load.
Anchoring Flexibility: The 3-point attachment kit offers security and flexibility. This is reflected in a slight wobbling of the top case. This oscillation allows air to circulate around, avoiding the "anchoring" effect of a flatter and more rigid suitcase. Again, this results in greater safety and stability in motion.

These are just what the doctor ordered for the Yamaha Niken GT!! The semi-rigid zippered cases that came on the Niken were a joke. They were much too small for any sport touring bike, not able to handle the basic needs one has on the road. They were not secure or waterproof. I love these as I can now fit helmets, clothes, tent, hammock or just about anything one may need while offering security and safety from the elements

I'm using these side cases on my 2021 Honda CB500X. After first couple uses the side cases feel sturdy enough and they are quite easy and comfortable to use. Also easy to carry around thanks to the handles. Side cases fit tightly with their side panniers. When removing side cases from their panniers you need to turn the handle with quite a lot of strenght that it feels like you're almost breaking the mechanism. No noticeable changes datected in driveability, even in high speeds (100-120 km/h). In my opinion these side cases are rather stylish and they suit my bike well.

I have these in conjunction with the 3P system for my CB650R. First up they offer great build quality, water tight (tested in some heavy rain) and are quite large (sold in a pair for those worried). You get almost all of the size of the pannier inside except for some small locks and mechanism. At 36 liters each, they even fit my size L Shark Spartan full face helmet. These panniers are quite ridged, do not wobble or flop and move with the bike. Any weight loaded into them is hardly noticeable on my bike as they lean slightly forward and match the center of mass of the bike. They are quite aerodynamic and except for the fact that my bike is now wider, I don't notice any difference with them on. There is a lock included that can be used on a Shad top box so you only need one key. The first time I opened them, I pinched my finger in the mechanism of the lock. I had to get used to it first but on the flip side they are really easy to open with gloves on. If you are considering these, kindly consider getting the inner bags and the red reflector with them. Makes the whole experience so much better. The white part on the panniers that looks like a reflector is not in fact a reflector but can be swapped out for a red one. This will give you a very wide and visible silhouette at night for cars to see, think Honda Gold Wing and the like. So in short, they are huge, look like they will last long and for the size of them have a solidly designed mounting mechanism but can still be taken off within seconds leaving your bike with a clean look. Shipping was reasonable and the service was awesome. Almost around the word in one piece and within six days for a HUGE box with both of them inside!

While mounting to my Honda CB500X, I reviewed both the SH36 and SH35, I chose the SH36 because it will fit a full size full face helmet. With the dimensions of the SH35 being only slightly smaller, it would not accommodate my Shoei RF1400 full face helmet. As an avid adventurer and cross country rider it was important to have dedicated storage for both passenger and drivers helmets. With trips to the beach and sand filled towels the need for dedicated dirty storage in the top case with clean storage for helmets in the side case was an important factor. The 3P mounting system also allows me to remove the cases quickly and with minimal effort for overnights on holiday when the bike lives on the street or at a caravan park. For the daily commute in and around the city having a minimalist mount was also a reason to choose the 3P system over other hard case mounting options. The side loading ability was also a nice feature instead of loading things from the top and spoiling times from stacking or lack of organization.

We've had these on two of our Can Am Spyders for a couple of years and now I'm fitting a set to my CF Moto 700 CL-X. The internal shelf is handy when loading your gear, and they are quick and easy to remove once unlocked.

I love this case! Perfect size. My large shoei neotec 2 can go inside the case. Each case has his key. You can add inner bag for this case. This is solid case. They have enlist c inside each case .

1. Did a 3000 miles cross country trip in May in US. Constantly cruising at 80~90 MPH (this is higher than the recommended maximum) in states like South Dakota and Montana. Never had any issue. 2. It does fit my XL shoei RF1200 fullface helmet with the cardo mount (but I did not try putting cardo on it), but you need carefully position it. 3. I take them down for daily commuting to gain better flexibility.

Nice cases. Fit a helmet. Nice for commuting as well as for longer trips. Used on a DL650XT. Sometimes wish I had top opening panniers, though, as if you have smaller stuff inside, it tends to fall out when openint.

These side cases offer good volume considering their dimensions. Make the best use of the available space, making it possible to fit an XXL modular helmet. They use the 3P fastening system, which aesthetically looks much better on the bike (instead of the rectangular irons used by competitors). The side attachment is fully integrated into the motorcycle, and is also easy to install and remove. The bags also have a carrying handle. I think the lines are elegant, and more beautiful than other suitcases on the market, which all look like boxes, without any aesthetic beauty. The bags are quite aerodynamic, and I didn't notice any difference when riding the bike. They are waterproof, and after a lot of rain, water has never entered. They have rear reflectors. The upper panels can be changed in metallic black, carbon, white, titanium and dark gray, sold as an accessory. If used for clothing, I recommend purchasing the inner bag, which makes it easier to transport. In general, I don't have any negative points about the many kilometers I've covered, and I can only say good things about these side cases.
