Zard Exhaust Weight: 4.2 kg installation of the Zard exhaust does not entail modifications to the original control unit. The kit includes the heatplate and the carbon rear fender. All the exhausts produced by the Italian workshops Zard are manufactured using high quality raw materials: stainless steel tubes and sheets in AISI 304 and titanium grade 1-2. All the carbon parts are machined in autoclaves and the TIG and MIG/MAG welding are handmade by specialized operators formed periodically. Each exhaust system is tested internally on the Fuchs test bench, assembled individually and subjected to a careful quality control.
Approvals: The Ministry of Transport has officially authorized the Italian workshops Zard for the production of exhaust systems with approval valid throughout the territory of the European Union. The Zard exhausts are designed and manufactured respecting high quality standards and, for the approved models, they guarantee compliance with the European Directives concerning the approval of the exhaust systems (Directive 97/24/EC, regulation EU 134/2014). On every Zard approved exhaust system, the approval number on the relevant certificate which is supplied and must be presented to the law enforcement authorities in case of control is stamped. The approved exhaust is equated with the original one and as such must not be replaced in the case of a motorcycle revision.
