OK, but wouldn't recommend

I have been using these with a set of soft panniers for a few years on my 2014 CB500x. They are attached to the bike at one end above the pillion foot pegs and can flex quite a bit. As a result, they can bump into and damage the rear fairings (near the top bend). The damage is cosmetic so if you a precious about your bike I would avoid these. Otherwise, they are light weight, easy to install and seem to work fine.
