I added this and the appropriate rack to my 18 Ninja 1000. I was concerned it would ruin the look of my bike, but it fits the bike perfectly you don't even know it's there. I don't use the Givi box unless I'm traveling. This plate is the perfect addition to my Ninja 1000. Highly recommended.

The plate works perfectly on my CRF 1100L Adventure sports ES, mounted in combination with the givi SR1178 and a 58l givi trekker outback top box. I also added the e172 back rest for a pillion support.
